A.J. Fernández Cigars announces the launch of the AMAR brand as the latest addition to its portfolio
Amar, which means “moon” in Arabic and “to love” in Spanish, recalls a moment in AJ’s story that deeply influenced him and celebrates the duality of his Cuban and lesser-known Lebanese heritage.

The AMAR line is made exclusively from Nicaraguan tobacco grown on AJ Fernandez’s farms. While the Amar brand was born from a fire at the factory in Estelí (a major fire broke out at the AJ Fernandez factory in 2025), it is produced at the San Lotano factory, the company’s second facility, located in Ocotal, north of Estelí.
